DePIN & Physical Infrastructure.
Token-incentivised networks for wireless, compute, storage and media delivery.
DePIN โ decentralised physical infrastructure networks โ use token incentives to get real hardware deployed and operated by strangers. Wireless hotspots, GPU compute, storage capacity, energy and mapping data all follow the same template: pay contributors in a token for verifiable supply, then sell that supply to paying demand.
The structural bet is that a token can bootstrap a capital-intensive network faster and cheaper than a corporation raising equity, because it converts users into owner-operators. The hard part is the second half. Supply responds to emissions almost immediately; demand has to be won from incumbents who are often cheaper and already trusted.
So the number that matters is real revenue from real customers, measured against emissions paid to suppliers. A network with vast coverage and negligible paid usage has purchased hardware with dilution, not built a business. Also check whether contribution is verifiable โ if proof-of-coverage can be gamed, emissions flow to spoofers rather than useful capacity.
